Do you love incorporating cool, fun, but also aesthetic spots into your trip itineraries? Well lucky for you, so do I, and I’ve compiled a list of the 10 best Instagram spots in Macau!
This is the fourth of my instagram city guides. To see them all, click here!
Ruins of St. Paul’s
This iconic spot in Macau is an absolutely must visit. These are the ruins of a 17th century college and church in Macau. Today, they are part of a UNESCO Heritage Site.
Fisherman’s Wharf
In this area, you can find an entire replica of the Roman colosseum! (but of course, on a much smaller scale). If you walk a little further, you can also find a myriad of buildings all built in different styles. Some reminded me of houses in Brussels, Belgium, while others looked straight out of Spain.
Find this at: Avenida da Amizade, Macau Fisherman’s Wharf – East Meets West, Porto Exterior, r/c e cave, Macau, Macau
The Parisian
Just like Las Vegas, Macau has got its own replica of the Eiffel Tower. You can actually go up to the top for a bit of a steep price, but I recommend just photographing the outside. Enjoy confusing your followers about which continent you’re on!
Find this at: Lote 3, Strip, SAR, P.R. China, Estr. do Istmo, Macau
Travessa Da Misericordia
This little street off of Senado Square is full of color facades, flowers, and shrubbery, all of which make it a prime location for photos! It is also an undiscovered gem, so you won’t run into crowds here.
Find this at: Trav.da Misericordia, Macau, Macau
Rua da Felicidade
What used to be Macau’s red light district is now a a street that is just literally full of pops of red, making it very photogenic!
Find this at: Rua da Felicidade, Macau, Macau
Senado Square
Given that Macau was colonized by the Portuguese, it only makes sense that much of Macau looks like Portugal, but none more so than Senado Square. The gorgeous tiled street, the cute and colorful western buildings, all make you feel as though you’re in Europe.
Find this at: Largo do Senado, Macau
CHA BEI
This hidden cafe (the name of which literally translates to “tea cup”) within the Galaxy Macau is a great place for afternoon tea. You get tons of little pastries served on layered pastry displays. However, more photogenic than the treats is the decor that they have within the cafe.
Find this at: Av. de Cotai, Macau
Travessa da Paixao
The facades on this little street near the Ruins of St. Paul’s are so gorgeous that the urge to photograph them is irresistible. Luckily, unlike the ruins, not many people have found out about this hidden gem yet so it shouldn’t be too crowded!
Find this at: Travessa da Paixao, Macau, Macau
Cafe Litoral
This cute little cafe in the Taipa area of Macau has got gorgeous ivy creeping along it’s front, with their sign visible on top. It’s such a pretty photo spot and a lovely spot for a quick snack!
Find this at: MacauR. do Regedor, 53/57號Bloco 4
The Venetian
Also like Vegas, Macau has got its own fake Venice! Just like the real Venice, the Venetian Macau has an entire network of canals, gondolas with singing gondoliers at the ready, and is absolutely photogenic at every single turn. Unlike actual Venice, it is fully air-conditioned, wi-fi accessible at every point, and lined with tons and tons of shops.
Find this at: Estrada da Baia de Nossa Senhora da Esperanca, Macau
