Oh, America. As the USA has been my home since I was born, I of course, have become rather attached to it. But to describe it to the first-time visitor would be near impossible. There’s too much variety, much more than I can even comprehend, much less even begin to explain to someone else. Therefore, I feel as though it’s probably more prudent to let others explain, in music.

So here is a playlist full of modern songs that explain what America consists of. Every song has the word America somewhere in it – whether in the name of the song, the name of the album, the name of the artist, or in the lyrics (or an American city). And make no mistake – we Americans aren’t blind to the faults of our own country. In these lyrics lie the good and the bad about our country.
